Lit Award Winner No.1: WildHearts Office Posted at: July 18, 2019 Posted in: All I’m delighted to announce that the winner of our first JMCL ‘Get Lit’ Award is WildHearts Office. It’s apt that the award goes to a business whose very purpose matches the ethos of our award – doing good by doing good business. WildHearts Office provide business supplies across a portfolio of service lines. They have strategic partnerships with Office Team and Banner, allowing them to service clients whilst keeping costs competitive. JMCL identified them as part of our rolling supplier and identification programme and they subsequently won a tender we ran for our client Hope Citadel Healthcare, a group of GP Practices. Over and above their clear commercial offering, WildHearts take every measure to ensure their operations are streamlined and sustainable, to the benefit of our customers and the environment. Their founding commitment of ‘Business for Good’ means they adhere to the Responsible Business agenda… and always have done. From the products they source, to how they are packaged, delivered and recycled, they will deliver commercial AND social & environmental benefits to your business. Daniel Jones, Finance Director of Hope Citadel Healthcare, a client of JMCL’s has comments: “WildHearts have a comprehensive range and have met all our stationery & consumable requirements, replacing a number of other suppliers who previously serviced our practices. We’ve been with them nearly a year, not only are their products fit-for-purpose but they are highly cost competitive and we’ve achieved significant savings with WildHearts which JMCL negotiated and monitors for us. It was of equal importance to us to find a supplier whose values and practices match our own in terms social and environmental responsibility as it was that they be commercially advantageous. We are both with WildHearts which is fantastic. I’m delighted that they’ve been recognised and they are worthy winners of JMCL’s first Get Lit award” 100% of profits from WildHearts Office are donated to the WildHearts Foundation. The Foundation aims to change lives locally and globally. Their social initiatives are diverse and core more than 50% of the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals. They include addressing social mobility in the UK by equipping young people with key development and employability skills (Mycro-Tyco) and addressing gender inequality in the developing world through their StartHer Strategy. Their Micro-Tyco programme won the Social Innovator Prize from the world’s top university for entrepreneurship; Babson College, Boston. Find out more about the impact they make here: https://www.wildheartsgroup.com/our-impact/ Further, WildHearts does not just service large organisations such as Amey, Barclays, LV= but also SMEs and smaller businesses. On hearing that Wildhearts had won the award, Partnership and Sales Director Colin Downie said: “This is brilliant news; I’m really pleased for the team. We were encouraged to have been nominated and are now delighted to have won JMCL’s inaugural Get Lit award. The award recognises our combination of commercial competitiveness allied to proactive, global social and environmental responsibility. We wholeheartedly agree with JMCL’s assertion that businesses should not pay a premium to be doing the right thing. We’ll continue to push that message and ethos whilst providing a practical way for our clients to pursue these dual goals.” Congratulations to WildHearts.
